CeeDee Lamb, Justin Jefferson and Henry Ruggs III are already breaking NFL records before they've even stepped onto the field.

The trio were among the 13 wide receivers selected in the first two rounds of the NFL draft on Thursday and Friday, surpassing the previous high of 12 set by a 2014 class that included Odell Beckham Jr., Mike Evans, Davante Adams, Jarvis Landry and Sammy Watkins.

Making up the record-breaking group with Lamb, Ruggs and Jefferson are Jerry Jeudy, Jalen Reagor, Brandon Aiyuk, Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman, Laviska Shenault Jr., KJ Hamler, Chase Claypool, Van Jefferson and Denzel Mims.

It may be a while before it's possible to see how those prospects fully stack up against the 2014 class, but the bar is certainly high with Brandin Cooks, Kelvin Benjamin, Marqise Lee, Jordan Matthews, Paul Richardson, Cody Latimer and Allen Robinson among the previous record-setting class.

That doesn't mean this year's position group has already been drained of its talent. There are a number of high-performing wideouts still available when the draft resumes Saturday afternoon.

"In most years, you probably expect those players to fill up the first three rounds," Baltimore Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. "We think this year that there's a really good chance to get a guy that can probably be a starter for you in the fifth round of the draft."

DeCosta backed up that notion by grabbing Texas alum Devin Duvernay with the No. 92 overall pick late in the third round.

The list of available receivers on Day 3 includes Donovan Peoples-Jones, Bryan Edwards, Quintez Cephus, Isaiah Wright and K.J. Hill.

The league has already seen multiple runs of pass-catchers coming off the board, and that trend should continue well into Saturday afternoon. In a draft class as deep as any in recent memory, wide receiver may just boast the most talented group.
